april2026: CASSIOPEA ANDROMEDA cassiopea andromeda is a type of cassiopeia aka upside-down jellyfish. they spend most of their time lying flat on their bells, keeping their oral arms facing upward; they andromeda feed on zooplankton, which they catch by pulsating their bells gently to create a water flow around their arms, this small current is what captures the zooplankton; cassiopea andromeda serves as an accommodation for photosynthetic dinoflagellate algae, which also provides it with further nourishment. they most often are found around mudflats, shallow lagoons, or near mangroves. Sometimes however they get off the ground to go for a “swim” like any other jellyfish and sting some unsuspecting swimmers;
