The unbearable lightness of being - Milan Kundera

~I wrote this one for my english class, thats why it's so boring. This book deserves better, I might rewrite it later.~
The unbearable lightness of being is a slice of life novel, that follows the lives of two couples, through the soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. The main protagonists Tomás views love and sex as two completely independent things. He is something one might call a womaniser, he has numerous affairs, with women other than his wife, Whom he also only fell in love with because she couldn’t leave his bed, do to her getting sick. The writer often stops the narrative to observe the characters and their lives and to give his insigtful and phylosophical comments about the currently ongoing events. But even with these long thought processes the story never feels preachy. It gives a very melancholic still heartwrming impression of life, i could really relate to and Seeing How drastically people's perspectives on love can differ was a very eye-opening experience for me. It made me feel more comfortable with my own views on beauty and love.
