november: ACROMITUS MACULOSUS

An obscure and mysterious species, not much has been discovered about them yet, but they still look very cool and deserve their place here

january: PSYCHEDELIC JELLYFISH

Unlike most other jellyfish with these gnarly little creatures, you can easily distinguish the males from the females. Females carry their round mold-looking baby medusae under their belts, until they come of age and are ready to live the 'family nest'. Meanwhile the males instead of their descendants, keep their colorful sausage-shaped gonads under their belt.

december: THIMBLE JELLYFISH

Thimble jellyfish are cool jello-looking creatures. their larvae is one of the main cause of a condition called the "seabather's eruption" which happens when someone swims through a cloud of mischievous jellyfish larvae, which gets stuck on the human. once the tiny jellyfish larvaes are washed off (and with this killed) they sting the seabather.

february: CANNONBALL JELLYFISH

Unlike most types of jellyfish, whom usually let the current carry them wherever it wants to, the cannonball jellyfish uses it's oral arms to navigate themselves through the oceans.
they are also often referred to as cabbagehead jellyfish. and since we are already on the topic of food, cannonball jellyfish - beside their usual marine predators - also often fall prey to fishermen, because they are suitable for human consumption.
